It’s not only about you

Do you ever have ideas, but find excuses to not execute on them? Despite launching and collaborating on many World Changing ideas, I’m very guilty of this. Some of the excuses are of course legitimate. People might not need or want it. We might not be ready. Better/shinier things will always come up. The problem… Continue Reading

This week I’m putting it in your hands. What challenges are you facing with your projects? Do you have any questions on personal development?… Continue Reading

Tell your story

30/01/2019 Leave a comment

If you’ve ever read Sapiens by Noah Yuval Harari, you’ll know the importance of storytelling. Its kept human beings at the top of the food chain for centuries. In my World Changing endeavours, telling my personal story has been one of three key social media strategies I use. In communicating my values, my message, and… Continue Reading

Fear is normal but disabling

28/01/2019 Leave a comment

First off the bat, I dont mean disabling like disability. As I’ve mentioned a few times, my new World Changers movement has many amazing people fighting for inclusion, but it is actually for anyone fighting for social change. Disability specific chat is happening on www.disabilityhorizons.com and in the DHorizons tribe Facebook group. However the battle… Continue Reading

24/01/2019 Leave a comment

It’s not every day that I get to meet someone working in the House of Lords. It’s also not every day that I get to meet a famous sports person with countless Paralympic medals. And it’s really not every day that I get to meet someone who embodies both of these massive achievements. One day… Continue Reading

My experience of the new AccessAble app

18/01/2019 Leave a comment

Back before the excess of Christmas, I spent a day with the AccessAble team (formerly Disabled Go) in Cambridge. The reason. Well, as you’ll know all too well, access to public places is still a big problem for disabled people. The physical environment can disable us with steps, narrow doorways/aisles, high counters, and so on. Customer… Continue Reading

How to change the world – educate and ask

17/01/2019 Leave a comment

Here’s a strong example of education and asking nicely to change the world. In St Ives, Cambridgeshire, we eat at a particular Indian restaurant because its accessible. After a bad experiences on Saturday, we want to change for another place. I rang up another option, and as suspected they still have a step. After I… Continue Reading

How to change the world – get perspective

10/01/2019 Leave a comment

A downside to being a world changer is the stereotype of grandiosity. My definition of a World Changer is someone who deeply cares about change, AND takes action to improve the situation. It does not mean to feel like the messiah and be all ego about it. It does not mean to solve everything in… Continue Reading
