Guys as you may know there is a little political event coming soon called the general election. Have you heard of it at all? Well, while you are deciding who to vote for there is another campaign you need to be aware of. It is called polls apart, it is run by Scope and looks at accessibility issues for disabled people voting. This area is so important as how can disabled people use their democratic right to vote for a party that can ensure better conditions for disabled people, when they cannot even place a vote in the first place?
The link goes straight to this clear and easy site. Many councillors are writing comments but there have been few thoughts from disabled people thus far. Please take 5 minutes to look at the site and jot a few comments. whether good, bad or indifferent having these conversations will allow progress and access therefore can be improved. many thanks in advance!
