Hi Martin
Have you been approached by a media company working on a new C4 program about about disabled accessibility in the tourism and leisure industries across the UK. They are called ROCKERDALE STUDIOS.
Here is a quote from the e mail the Angling club I’m a committee member of have received
“The show is light hearted and uplifting and whilst highlighting the difficulties of planning travel and leisure activities when you have a disability, we are focussing on the vast accessible options available and the fabulous businesses that are offering them.”
I think as a power wheelchair user there are a lot of limitations on possible holidays and leisure activities available, the program will be filming on an accessible narrow boat holiday (the company are based close to us inave been on their ‘day boat’ several times and really enjoyed it .
I’m hoping that the angling club I’m involved with will help them out with filming, as we have two very good accessible pools for members.
Anything that raises awareness of availability to disabled people has to be a good thing don’t you agree. ?

Hi Martin
Let me first appreciate my respect for what you do and how far you’ve come. I read your story and I loved it.
I’m Sienna Fisher, a 25 years-old from Chichester, England. I was born with a type of muscular dystrophy. Unfortunately this disability didn’t only determine my physical ability but also my mental health. In recent years my mental health deteroriated to the point I was assigned for an anti-depression therapy course. I made so far some progress and I’m desperately trying to find ways to keep this going. My therapist has also suggested that it might be a good idea if I share my experience with others and I do something that might be good for the community. I dream to have my personal blog, but I still lack the confidence for that. I would like to share my very first blog with your audience and that would certainly help me to gains some self-achievement for a perfect start.
Send me an email back so I can send you my story.
Kind regards, Sienna
Hello!
I am from California Communications Access Foundation. We are a nonprofit building a web portal called Ability Central that will address all things that people with any disabilities may need. Here is our philanthropic website: http://abilitycentral.org/
We are planning to launch the new Ability Central portal at the end of May.
We are looking to have a news portion featured on the homepage where we pull from RSS feeds from various organizations and blogs. Upon launch, we are focusing on California, but in future, we will expand to the entire country and world.
Would you allow us to use your RSS feed to populate our news section, and if so, how much would it cost?
Thank you,
Trish Henry
